Welcome to St. Mary on the Hill
Catholic School.
St. Mary's strives to provide
a quality Catholic education in an atmosphere of love, respect,
responsibility and religious awareness. The school focuses on
developing the potential of each child: spiritually, intellectually,
physically, emotionally, morally and socially. Without discrimination,
students who desire an education experience founded on the Christian
philosophy of education and who fulfill age and academic requirements are
eligible for admission to St. Mary on the Hill Catholic School.
The application fee is $300.00 per child. This fee, due at
the time of application, does not guarantee placement. It
places your child on a list to be tested if open spaces are available in the
appropriate grade. The application fee
will be refunded if your child is not accepted. Refunds will be made from
the church office.
Placement testing is given to
every new student. The fee for testing is $50.00 for all students. Grade
placement may be at the grade entering or below. We will contact you to set
up a testing date. We will need a copy of the student's latest report card
and any standardized testing that he/she has taken.
Students are accepted according to the following
criteria:
Present students at St. Mary’s
Siblings of present students at St. Mary’s
Students whose families are St. Mary’s stewardship parishioners. A
stewardship parishioner is defined as one who is registered with the
parish office, attends Sunday and Holy Day Mass on a regular basis, has
turned in a Stewardship tithing pledge card, and uses church envelopes
to make routine contributions to the parish
St. Mary parishioners who pay tuition
Catholic students from the area
Catholic students who have recently moved into the area and attended
a Catholic school before moving
Non-Catholic students
Prior to
acceptance into the school, all new families are asked to schedule an
appointment with Fr. Ragan. Please call Renee Minardi at
706-733-6627 to schedule this appointment.
