Awards and Recognition
St. Mary students earn recognition for outstanding performance both on standardized tests and in regional, state and national academic competitions.
Some examples of more recent awards and recognitions include:
The 2010 Morris Museum of Art’s Combining Voices Literary Competition awarded St. Mary students First Place,
Third Place and two Honorable Mentions for elementary school poetry and Third Place for elementary school prose.
Our PAGE Academic Team has won region six times and earned First Runner Up in 2005 in the Georgia State Finals.
The Duke Talent Search recognized eighteen St. Mary seventh-grade students in 2009.
Our students earned Second Place in the 2009-2010 Future City Competition, South Carolina Region. Our students also
earned “Best Awards” for Project Management Plan, Model, Demonstration of Green Chemistry Principals, Automation/Computer
Applications, and Electrical Engineering Innovation.
Twenty former students were recognized for Summa Awards in high
school for high academic achievement in 2009.
